B.S. Neuroscience and Exercise Science

MeganWelz, a true teacher of teachers, is a Yoga Alliance Certified Educator and Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher 500 Hours with a Bachelor’s of Science, Neuroscience and Exercise Science. As the founder and creator of Mewali Movement, she has led numerous teacher trainings and trained over 150 students in the field.

BALI BASED YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Megan is a Bali-Based Yoga Instructor who leads 200 Hour Vinyasa Yoga Teachers Trainings, Private Yoga Retreats, Surf and Yoga Retreats, as well as teaches at world-renowned yoga studios and festivals in Bali. She has experience teaching Yoga for Elite Athletes and is highly recognized for her creative Vinyasa Flows, Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga, and Restorative-Yin Yoga. Sessions available as group classes, private sessions, or direct downloads online to practice with Megan when your time allows

NEUROSCIENCE AND EXERCISE SCIENCE

Graduating from Regis University in Denver, Colorado with a Bachelor’s of Science in Neuroscience and Exercise Science, Megan has an extensive background in anatomy, physiology, and exercise science. With that, she is known in yoga studios for creating well-thought out flows to open the body in the safest, most efficient, and most effective way. She excels in adjusting and teaching correct body positioning and body alignment during each class. Megan has incredible somatic knowledge, appropriate for any level of yoga experience, as well as an intuitive, flexible energy that makes every session exactly what you need

CREATIVITY ON THE MAT

Megan is known for her creativity on the mat. Her classes are unique and original, blending poses together and transitioning the flow of the class in a way that feels like a choreographed dance. She creates vinyasa flows choreographed to popular songs. Her passion and love for yoga is clearly portrayed in each and every class. Each flow she creates and leads is immaculately planned, highly innovative, and exceptionally unique. Megan strives to keep the practice of yoga mindful, for yoga without mindfulness is just an exercise class. She is grounded by that principle, while still manages to keep her classes light-hearted, free-spirited, fresh, fit, and fun!

LOVE YOUR LIFE!

I love traveling to new lands, drinking coffee on the pier, water skiing past sunset, surprising friends with flowers, pitching a tent, one-way tickets, surfing clean lefts, lazy days in hammocks, road trips, candle-lit lighting, sipping red wine, tasting dark chocolate, chatting with an old friend, meeting a new friend, living in the moment, and living life to it’s fullest. 

I am driven by the power of the present, stranger’s acts of kindness, the sun’s sparkle on the water, a genuine smile, and a good laugh. I feed off of the setting sun and the rising moon, and high tides and fun rides, because that’s what life’s all about!
